Berkeley, CA – VIMANA announced today that they have been selected by Sodick, Inc. to deliver their MTConnect and VIMANA software technology to the Sodick client base. The joint solution will be on display in the Sodick (E-5102) and VIMANA (E-4736) booths at IMTS 2014 in Chicago, September 8th through the 13th.
Established in 1976, Sodick has sold over 50,000 EDMs worldwide and delivered over 20,000 linear motor drive EDMs. Sodick has three ISO certified manufacturing facilities with over 3,100 employees worldwide and technical centers located in Chicago, New Jersey, and California.
Under the partner agreement, the companies will co-market VIMANA’s MTConnect adapter technology and the VIMANA analytics platform with Sodick EDM and HSM equipment. Clients using this technology will be able to monitor equipment performance in real-time, track production efficiency, and take advantage of VIMANA’s downtime classification capabilities to optimize productivity.
