Berkeley, CA – VIMANA announced that Rick Moran has been promoted to President and COO of the company from his current position as COO. In this new capacity Mr. Moran will be responsible for managing all aspects of company operations. CoFounder Will Sobel continues in his role as CEO and Chairman of the companies’ Board of Directors.
Mr. Moran joined the company in 2013 as COO, focusing on sales and business development. Prior to VIMANA, Mr. Moran worked at TIBCO and led business development for their cloud computing product group – which was created from the acquisition of DataSynapse Inc. While at DataSynapse from 2002 until the purchase in 2008, Mr. Moran held positions as VP of Sales and SVP of Business Development. Prior to DataSynapse, Mr. Moran was founder and CEO of Redpoint Software – an enterprise risk management company he sold to Barra Inc. Before Redpoint, Mr. Moran held executive sales, business development and marketing positions at Stratus Computer and Isis Distributed Systems.
